The first TEN people to comment in this post get to request a drabble of any pairing/character of their choosing from me. In return, they have to post this in their journal, regardless of their ability level. If you absolutely can't write, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to offer drawings or icons or something instead. |

| Time to try this out. |
[Mar. 23rd, 2009|03:47 pm] |
Okay, I figured I'd start my music sharing with my current favorite genre, Symphonic Metal. I've included 3 songs from each band, as I only have 3 to share. :)
Kamelot (Hands down my favorite Symphonic Metal band)
http://www.box.net/shared/xqpcev52dm Abandoned-A soft sad song, that builds toward the end. I love Roy Khan's voice.
http://www.box.net/shared/gkdraf8l7d Forever-My favorite Kamelot song. It based off of one of Norway's first pop songs.
http://www.box.net/shared/jns4o2fozn Ghost Opera-This one really showcases their symphonic element.
Nightwish (Great band, but I only own their latest CD, which is after Tarja left the band, so th vocals aren't as pretty as they usually are)
http://www.box.net/shared/7ygrddfj7r The Islander-This song has a really nice feel to it, with Celtic-style vocals.
http://www.box.net/shared/27cjdxfupt Last of the Wilds-A beautiful instrumental, also with a strong Celtic feel to it.
http://www.box.net/shared/yy1oukr5r3 7 Days to the Wolves-One of my favorites, it's heavier than most of the other songs on this album.
Tarja Turunen (Former singer for Nightwish, and an incredible voice. These are off of her first solo album)
http://www.box.net/shared/yxgjq97qyg I Walk Alone-Tarja's separation from Nightwish was less that pleasant, and I think this song is meant to reflect that.
http://www.box.net/shared/mh8jlmjtyp Oasis-Finnish is a surprisingly beautiful language...
http://www.box.net/shared/ge78opm6uv Poison-This song is just infectious. It stays with me for days. |

| My birthday... |
[Feb. 22nd, 2009|08:18 am] |
...was a magnificent affair!
Not everyone who said they were going to show up did, but more people than I expected did and it was a lot of fun. We ended up commandeering a very large table toward the back of the restaurant where we proceeded to eat and drink and have much fun. And I received the best birthday gift of all time: An obese Dracula candy dish whose spine you but break by bending him backward to obtain the goodies stored within his stomach. Good times.
I may try to start posting here on a regular basis again... |

| It's that time of year again! |

| | excited | ] | And no, I'm not this excited about it being my birthday (even though that's kind of cool too).
What I am excited about is that Proposition 3-17 is being attempted again this year. We tried last year and fell short of the number of signatures we need, so we need all the help we can get.
For those of you who don't know, Proposition 3-17 is Guinness Brewery's attempt to get the United States government to make Saint Patrick's day an official holiday. We need 1 million signatures my Saint Patrick's day.
This be the site : http://www.proposition317.com/Home.aspx?key=98240648007168150412800192122881142568967424416228116245768004096256019712
Please sign the petition and repost this in your journal so that we may get as many signatures as possible. |

| An accident and the consequences thereof. |
[Feb. 17th, 2009|06:10 pm] |
Alicia and I were in an accident Friday night. Long story short; No one was hurt, our car is apparently classified as a "Total Loss", and the prospects fr going out to McGuire's on my birthday are looking grim.
I'll let you know if a miracle flies out of my ass and we suddenly have a car, but until that time assume that its not happening. |

| My Hatching Day Approaches! |
[Jan. 27th, 2009|07:57 am] |
My birthday is getting closer (I know! Who would have thought that the passage of time would lead to later dates!?!?) and thus my trip to McGuire's is also getting closer. I'd like to call them in advance to warn them of a possibly large party showing up on a Friday night, but I have no idea how many people actually plan on coming and how many said "yeah, sure" just to be nice. :)
So, please contact me at your convenience with an answer.

| At least I come here more than once a year... |

| | Amon Amarth - Valhall Awaits Me | ] | I suppose it's time for my sporadic visit back to this place. I just don't seem to have the drive to come here, although it takes almost no effort aside from what I already am doing.
My birthday is approaching. February 20th. We're going out to Destin to McGuire's Irish Pub. A great place if you've never been there. Those that actually know me are invited to join in the occasion. Of course there's no obligation to do so.
This town is one of the worst places in the world to find and keep a job. After being "released" from Publix, i have yet to find anyone who is even remotely hiring.
...yeah. |

| Long-Overdue-Update |
[May. 22nd, 2008|08:52 am] |
Good fucking gods! It has been nearly a year since I posted here! Much has transpired (as often does over the course of 10 months) and I felt an awkward need to post on a site that largely no longer holds my interest. I feel bad, because there are people here with whom this is pretty much my only means of contact, and I seriously need to bring some of those people back into my life. Let's see.
I got married to Alicia, I've been working at the Publix Deli long enough that it kills a part of my soul every time I walk into the place, Been getting into Bleach and Death Note (both of which came highly recommended to me in the past, but I only recently got interested), I'm renting my mom's old place with Alicia and my new buddy Max, really gotten into a Symphonic Metal band called Kamelot (Magnificent, I tell you).
Actually, I guess not a lot has transpired. Anyhow, at some point later in the year when such things can be afforded we're going to have a housewarming party. All are invited.
If anybody is interested in contacting me (please?) my contact info is thus:
