It's been a good while since I've updated (I'm so lazy) so I figure now is as good a time as any.

I got a job at Goodwill this morning. Purple Haze never called me back, so they can blow me (unless they're offering more money). I'm making 7.50/hour which isn't bad, but it's still not 8.75/hour like I was making. But I get a 20% employee discount at Goodwill, which pretty much amounts to twelve cents for a shirt, so I'm happy.

And here's the interview questions. Damn you, Jami! You made me have to think! :)

The rules:
1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you five questions of a very intimate and creepily personal nature. Or not so creepy/personal.
3. You will update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

1. Out of all the problems American society has today, which do you think stands most firmly in the way of progress?

Bad parenting. Too many parents these days percieve themselves as too busy to be bothered with their children. Too often are televisions and video games used as babysitters to "shut the kids up." You fucked, you had kids, and guess what? You are responsible for them. I think if parents took more of an active and positive role in their children's lives, actually taught them something useful, that we'd be on a better track toward the future, rather than the broken down railcar we're on now.

2. What do you think is most wrong with the video game industry today?

Lack of a decent story. Look at most of the popular games these days. The Grand Theft Auto games, Manhunt, and most survival horror games have a massive overabundance of graphic violence, with no storyline to require it. You know me, I love to see someone's kneecap get blown off, but if the story doesn't require it, why is it there? And most storylines in RPGs are just half-assed rehashes of old themes that have been done the same way for the past 20 years. We need innovation. And free t-shirts with the purchase of your game. I think I've still got a Tekken 3 t-shirt floating around somewhere.

3. What's the one quality that is most likely to "disqualify" someone from being your friend?

Well, initially, if I've never met you and you seem like you really, really want a friend, I'm likely to try to not talk to you. Desperate people annoy me. If you're already my friend, illogicality and stupidity piss me off. If you consistently prove to me how much of a dumbass you are, I'm liable to avoid you.

4. What do you predict will happen to mankind in the next three hundred years?

Well, I see this as the Dark Ages of the Information Age. Stupidity and ignorance abound but, if history does repeat itself, I see a second rennaisance, a rebirth of the interest in knowledge, and hopefully a better era. That would make me happy, but honestly, I don't see mankind getting anywhere for a long, long time, if ever.

5. Where do you see yourself in twenty years?

Not here. Other than that, I'm leaving it all to the Fates. I'd like to be living in a nice home, with a decent car, and making enough money to be comfortable.
